Biography

Barbara Eickmeyer  is a freelance interpreter/translator and managing director of English Spanish Translation Services, LLC.

Barb grew up in Mexico City and attended the American School through ninth grade. When her family moved to the United States, Barb found that her background was a perfect fit to bridge the linguistic gap between the two cultures she affectionately calls her own.

Qualifications include: BA, Spanish, M Ed. Educational Leadership, Certificates in Spanish/English Translation and Interpretation (Northern Arizona University), Certificate of Proficiency in Medical Interpreting (University of Arizona), and 25 years teaching Spanish at the post-secondary level, both at NAU and Coconino Community College.

Arizona Credentialed Court Interpreter with 10 years experience providing services for Municipal, Justice, Superior and Juvenile courts in Coconino and Yavapai counties (ACICP credential AZ-10116).
